The Felix Hines Fund was launched in style on Thursday 12th November

The Felix Hines Fund was launched in style on Thursday 12th November at CM - Community Music Organisation based at Brady Arts Centre London. A room full of his friends, associates, artists and supporters gathered to hear about the plans for the fund aided fully with some amazing music. Reggae legends Susan Cadagon and Carl St Clair (Desmond Dekker & The Aces) shared a stage with some of the cream of the CM youth programme and there were also fantastic sets from Victor Davies and Linda Em. DJ’s Ashley Beedle, Curtis Lynch, Henry Keen and Ehsan Haque ensured there was no let up to the good vibes!

The fund has been set up by Felix’s widow, Vicky Hines, together with CM to provide support for CM’s wide range of free access music programmes.

CM is a youth and community music organisation that provides creative music making opportunities for people of all backgrounds. The CM organisation  offers a  diverse and exciting programme of courses, live gigs, informal training and events. This  includes degree level music production and business training, free instrumental tuition, career development and support packages, music leader training courses and a whole host of live events, from small intimate gigs to hosting a stage at the Underage Festival. All of CM’s programmes are either free or very low cost.

The PMI team were there to support the fund and had the lovely opportunity to meet some of the many students and tutors of CM as well as visiting the great facilities at the Brady Arts Centre.
