With a passion for captivating lyrics, unparalleled creativity, exceptional musicianship, and top-notch production, Dorsten's artistry extends well beyond their years.
Influenced by the likes of Brandi Carlile, The Lumineers, and From Indian Lakes, the band has spent years honing their craft, captivating audiences at national touring acts and numerous music festivals. Their performances have taken them across the Pacific-Northwest of the US, and in March 2022, they found themselves on a remarkable journey in London, England.
During this time, they were invited to record at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, Studio Two. Sophie & Alex took this opportunity to create their latest EP, ‘London Sessions' with Engineer / Mixer Lewis Jones at the helm. Released in June 2023, the six-song EP revisits a collection of some of the duo's previous singles in an unplugged fashion featuring gorgeous orchestral strings and subtle layers of new interpretation to the originals.
With a trail of accolades and a growing international fanbase, Dorsten continues to craft music that resonates deeply with listeners worldwide, leaving an indelible mark on the Folk/Americana landscape.
